While going through one of the most circulated news paper of the country...and also the one which presents you with a set of 'Developmental' news stories, unlike the other contemporary Newspapers in India......I actually came across the article that focused on the work of today's mass media and how unfortunate it was for the people of the nation to easily flow and believe in the text messages and other unauthenticated source of videos...which further resulted in the sudden panic situation among the North East origin people....
The report actually focused on how in-spite of the most relied source of communication available "Mass media"..people are there to whole heartily accept the word of mouth...
The shocking fact behind this was that this situation had been witnessed in the past in nations like UK and North Korea but even today in the time of globalization where they say "seeing is believing"....they go for "word of mouth".....and hence investing their valuable energy and analysis to the things that actually never happened or existed...
It happened once that in the Hindu temple in Korea people claimed that the idol of Lord "Ganesha" actually happened to drink the milk which was given by the Hindu devotees as
Prasadam. And then started the process of spread of rumor all across the globe because of which tons of milk was flowing into the underground waters....
Several time this has happened to the globe with time....But what so ever it is always a loss to the Mass Media...and people's belief on what it covers....
In the era where flocks move with the power of word its actually tough to decide..
"Seeing and believing...OR...just Believing"...
